Delivering over 90,000 containers of evidence per annum

The secure and timely transport of evidence can be both expensive and time consuming for police forces. Ensuring a completely reliable service that preserves the clear continuity of evidence is essential.

Reliance provides secure transportation for the collection and delivery of over 90,000 containers of evidence per annum from 39 police forces in the UK on behalf of the Forensic Science Service. Covering over 1 million miles per year Reliance consistently assists the FSS to meet their three day turnaround target,  Throughout the 10 years of this service, has never lost or damaged a piece of evidence.

This services involves the operation of 29 vehicles from nine distribution hubs and the employment of 40 people. Reliance uses unmarked vehicles using GPS tracking system and a central hub from which all journeys are organised and monitored.

All staff are highly experienced and trained in all aspects of the work, including providing statements of continuity and attending court to give evidence when required
